About BeyoundWaves
BeyoundWaves is an internet radio platform operated in Ghana. It lets you create and run an online radio station, broadcast live or with AutoDJ, publish programmes and reach listeners worldwide. The service includes a public station directory, listener programme support, advertising on eligible stations, optional telephone access features and paid hosting plans.
Your account
- You must give accurate and complete information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Paid plans and payouts require you to be at least 18, or to have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
- Each person may hold one account. You may close your account at any time from the site.
Stations, roles and access keys
Access to a station is governed by membership roles such as owner and manager. Invite people you trust: what they do inside your station is your responsibility. Live source credentials are separate, revocable keys for broadcasters and tools. Issue them carefully and revoke them when they are no longer needed. Attempts to bypass station isolation or reach another station's private content are prohibited.
Your content and licence
Your content remains yours. To run the service we need your permission to handle it, so you grant BeyoundWaves a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transcode, stream and display the audio, artwork, text and recordings you publish through the service, for as long as your station is on the platform.
- You confirm that you hold all rights your content needs, including rights covering music, voices and artwork.
- If we receive a credible complaint about your content we may take it down while we look into it. Repeat infringement ends the account.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
Broadcasting and music licensing
Broadcasting over the internet may require licences, including music performance and copyright licences, in the territories your listeners are in. You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining every licence your stream needs. BeyoundWaves does not license music on your behalf. Streams that carry unlawful content may be suspended without prior notice.
Acceptable use
When using BeyoundWaves you must not:
- publish content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit or misleading;
- publish content that infringes anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy;
- spam, scrape or otherwise burden the service with automated traffic, or attempt to bypass entitlement limits, security or station isolation;
- interfere with other stations, listeners or the platform's operation;
- resell the service or station resources without our written agreement.
Paid plans and billing
- Plans and their entitlements are listed on the pricing page and are denominated in US dollars.
- Payments are processed by Paystack. When you pay, Paystack's own terms apply to the card transaction.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.
- We announce price changes in advance. Where the law requires tax to be added or withheld, it applies on top of the listed price.
- If a payment fails we will retry it and may pause or downgrade the affected station until billing recovers.
Programme support
Programme support lets listeners make voluntary payments to support a station's programmes. Support payments are processed by Paystack and recorded by BeyoundWaves in US dollars. A platform fee applies before the remaining balance is attributed to the station. Support does not buy ownership, editorial control or advertising space, and support payments are generally non-refundable. If something went wrong with a payment, contact info@beyoudwaves.com as soon as possible and we will review it case by case.
Advertising and payouts
Where a station is eligible, advertising may be delivered with its content and the attributed revenue is credited to the station. Payouts run to eligible owners with verified payout details, following the payout schedule and minimums shown in Studio. Where a currency conversion happens, the payment provider's quoted rate applies, while BeyoundWaves keeps the canonical record in US dollars.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep BeyoundWaves running well, but no online service can promise perfect availability. Maintenance, upgrades and outages can happen. We may add, change or retire features; if a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we give notice before it takes effect.
Ending the agreement
- You may close your account at any time. Where the interface allows it, export your content first.
- We may suspend or terminate an account for breaches of these terms, unlawful use or non-payment, with notice where practical.
- When the agreement ends, your right to use the service stops. Amounts already owed, licence permissions already granted, and these ending, liability and governing law sections survive.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent the law allows, BeyoundWaves is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for claims connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. Material changes are announced on the site before they take effect. If you keep using BeyoundWaves after the effective date, the updated terms apply. Previous versions are available on request.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
